Solution to Deformation of Spinning Parts

Pulished on Aug. 05, 2020

The CNC spinning machine is the processing equipment for CNC forming and spinning. The purpose is to form thick-walled metal into cylindrical parts, including some insoluble metals, stainless steel, and other materials, and then press them into thin-walled pipes of various sizes or hollow rotating parts through a CNC spinning machine. The pressing process means that the blank is clamped on the model, and the CNC spinning machine takes them together to rotate at high speed. At the same time, the pressure of the roller is used. Deformation of the blank, and finally obtain an axisymmetric part.

In the field of metal processing engineering, spinning is a new technology for the chipless forming of metal products. This molding technology has the advantages of good deformation conditions, good product performance, small dimensional tolerances, high material utilization, and wide product range. However, when the CNC spinning machine is processing, there will be mold deformation. Many people don't know much about it. In fact, as long as the deformation law is mastered, this deformation can be prevented. Let's learn about how to prevent the deformation of the mold processing.

Solution to Deformation of Spinning Parts

1. The mold structure design of CNC spinning machine should be reasonable, the thickness should not be too different, the shape should be symmetrical, the mould of CNC spinning machine with large deformation should grasp the deformation rule, reserve machining allowance, for large, precise and complex mould can be used combined structure.

2. Reasonably select the heating temperature and control the heating speed. For precision and complex molds, slow heating, preheating and other balanced heating methods can be adopted to reduce the deformation of the mold during heat treatment.

3. On the premise of ensuring the hardness of CNC spinning machine molds, try to use pre-cooling, staged cooling quenching or temperature quenching processes. For some sophisticated molds, pre-heat treatment, aging heat treatment, tempering and nitriding heat treatment can be used to control The precision of CNC spinning machine mold.

4. When repairing mold blisters, pores, abrasion, and other defects early, use cold welders and other repair equipment with low thermal impact to avoid deformation during the repair process.

The above information is provided by the CNC spinning machine manufacturer.
